“Migrants and refugees are not pawns on the chessboard of humanity. They are children, women, and men who leave or are forced to leave their homes for various reasons, who share a legitimate desire for knowing and having, but above all for being more.” – Pope Francis (Message for the 2014 World Day of Migrants and Refugees, September 24, 2013)
Join parishioners of St. Ignatius (Baltimore) and Holy Trinity (Washington) for a prayer vigil to show our solidarity with our brothers and sisters seeking asylum from unimaginable situations. Led by laity from both parishes, the vigil will raise Catholic voices on behalf of some of our most vulnerable men, women, children and families. Raise your voice in prayer with us – a prayer that reminds us all lives are worthy of dignity.
