ST. IGNATIUS PASTORAL COUNCIL
The primary role of the Pastoral Council is to advise the
pastor on matters of greater moment
for the parish and to assist in pastoral
planning and the coordination of the parish’s ministries
and services.
The members of the Council comprise a focus group with whom the pastor can
test ideas and a means of both listening to parishioners and communicating
to the broader
community the rationale and context for decisions that are
made to better fulfill the mission
of the parish. Six members of the Council
are elected by the parishioners; three members are
appointed by the pastor.
The
Council
meets monthly with the pastor.
