The Focus and Work of PREP is to impart, in collaboration with all our parents, the Catholic faith to our young people so that they are prepared cognitively, affectively, and experientially, to celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation and thereby to live their faith meaningfully and joyfully as they mature into adulthood.
This mission is carried out, in conjunction with all our parents, by trained catechists (parishioners) in accord with a catechetical syllabus and proper materials (Bible, text books and supplemental handouts) and opportunities for social service.
This mission is implemented on a weekly basis from mid-September until mid-May in accordance with an established annual PREP calendar.
PREP is coordinated by Sherri Currie. Classes are held on Sundays from 9:30 – 10:20 AM where the focus is on learning about God, the Church and Catholicism. The students and parents are encouraged to attend the 10:30 AM Mass together where they can experience the Children’s Liturgy of the Word.
